The team Gord assembles after the divine council meeting and the direct organizational precursor of the Black Forest Commandos.
The Hexbreakers are the team Gord assembles before the organization gradually becomes the Black Forest Commandos. They connect the small group that survives the 1865 Black Forest crisis with the larger, specialist force able to pursue threats across eras and realms.
Original Members
- Gord: Founder, commander, and strategist.
- Rothütle: Scholar and technical problem-solver from the original Black Forest investigation.
- Evie: Tracker, scout, and precision marksman.
- Mina: The immortal assassin Mina.
- Nil: The necromancer nominated by Deus.
- Maya: The mortal jungle warrior nominated by Diva.
- Carmilla: A vampire ruler with a complicated connection to Mina.
- The Valkyrie: Tyr's former pupil and the team's defensive-operations specialist.
Evolution and Departures
The Hexbreakers do not become the Black Forest Commandos through a single formal renaming. The organization changes gradually as its missions, technology, and roster expand.
Other specialists join the evolving organization, and the Black Forest Commandos name eventually supersedes the earlier identity.
Formation
The Divine Council gives Gord the leads that make the team possible. The Council's Call records those recommendations and the first steps beyond the original 1865 group.

Maya eventually dies of old age. Her death preserves the significance of her original recruitment: she stood beside gods, immortals, and legendary warriors through mortal skill alone.
Carmilla later leaves the Hexbreakers for Bravo Team.
