Nil
The reclusive necromancer found beyond a worm-guarded cave who becomes one of the eight original members of the Hexbreakers.
Nil is a reclusive necromancer and one of the eight original members of the Hexbreakers. Before joining Gord's team, Nil lives beyond a cave protected by giant worms, making the journey to the necromancer part of the recruitment itself.
The Council's Nomination
Deus proposes Nil when The Divine Council orders Gord to assemble a force capable of pursuing Angra Mainyu. The recommendation identifies Nil as an unconventional specialist whose knowledge can contribute where ordinary martial or divine power is insufficient.
Unlike several candidates introduced through existing alliances, Nil begins outside Gord's known network. Gord nevertheless completes the recruitment, bringing the necromancer into the original Hexbreakers alongside Maya, Carmilla, and the other early members.
The Hexbreakers
Nil's presence expands the team's capabilities beyond investigation, conventional combat, and divine intervention. The current record establishes the necromancer's membership and isolation but does not yet reveal Nil's birthplace, age, specific practices, or later role as the Hexbreakers gradually become the Black Forest Commandos.
Nil's first known appearance in the wider mythology is recorded in The Council's Call.
