Zeus
A divine council member whose recommendation exposes Mina's service to Hades, the curse of immortality, and her link to Carmilla.
Zeus sits on The Divine Council, which directs Gord to assemble extraordinary warriors after Angra Mainyu's escape. His proposal brings Mina into the expanding network.
Mina's History
Zeus reveals that Mina once worked for his brother Hades as a supernatural headhunter: an assassin whose victims were delivered directly into the underworld. When she tried to abandon that service, Hades punished her with immortality. Unable to age or die, she eventually entered a long sleep inside a coffin associated with Carmilla.
By presenting this history to the council, Zeus identifies both Mina's usefulness and the danger surrounding her. Gord is not simply being sent to find another fighter; she is being given a path into a much older conflict involving Hades, Carmilla, and an assassin who survived them both.
A Divided Divine History
Zeus also stands behind an earlier rupture in the expanded mythology. His wrath after the Battle of Salamis drove Artemisia and the Amazonians into exile, where Mithra gave them sanctuary. The council therefore contains gods whose recommendations help Gord even while the consequences of their older conflicts remain active.
These connections are revealed in The Council's Call.
