Hold the line
The Second Sun retells the Code Black battle in Asgard Mission through an ordinary soldier in Artemisia's shield line, turning a realm-wide conflict into one defender's experience.

The Amazonians arrive with golden shields, but conventional weapons barely slow the CVE swarm. Gord orders the defenders to hold the line and use every light. Freyja's lightning briefly gives the Shadows solid form, but it is not enough.
Azar rises above the walls and becomes a second sun. Her light burns the Shadows, but also consumes banners, armor, trees, and defenders. Artemisia orders a retreat. Gord later finds Azar alive in the ashes.
There is no clean victory at sunrise. The survivors sit among ruined equipment and fallen comrades, forced to reconsider Gord's command and the cost of the power that saved the city.
