Azar

A living embodiment of fire whose artificial dawn becomes Asgard's most destructive defense against shadow CVEs.

Azar is a living embodiment of fire, a member of Bravo Team, and one of the specialized reinforcements sent into Asgard by Mithra. Her seemingly playful relationship with her own power conceals a capability large enough to change the conditions of an entire battlefield.

A Covert Arrival

Mithra orders Bravo Team to enter Asgard without announcing a military deployment. Azar adopts party clothes for the checkpoint, although looking inconspicuous remains difficult for someone whose natural appearance involves open flame.

Agent Null later escorts her to Rothütle. What begins as a simple question about whether she can create fire escalates quickly: Azar says she can make it as bright as a sun. Rothütle recognizes the strategic consequence immediately. Against enemies whose shadow state is vulnerable to light, Azar can create daylight at night.

The Final Battle

When Asgard's defenders begin losing the line, Azar releases her power across the battlefield. The artificial dawn destroys or scatters enormous numbers of CVEs and gives physical weapons targets they can finally strike.

The attack also burns the surrounding ground almost beyond recognition. Azar survives but is badly depleted, describing her internal sun as nearly set. Her intervention wins the battle while defining its cost: light prevails, but the world around it burns.

Character

Cheerful, spontaneous, and dangerously enthusiastic, Azar is classified as ESFP. She does not naturally think at a small scale, and she tends to experience the consequences of a decision after acting rather than before.

Abilities

  • Pyrokinesis: Creates and controls fire.
  • Solar-level light: Reproduces the effect shadow CVEs are least able to withstand.
  • Area denial: Can transform a huge battlefield, with equally huge collateral consequences.
